Nurses burnout is a widespread phenomenon characterized by reduction in the nurses energy that manifests in the emotional exhaustion, lack of motivation and feeling of frustration may result in reduction in work efficacy. The study was conducted among the nurses to assess the burnout to investigate the influence of leader empowering behavior on nurses, feeling of burnout in an endeavor to improve nursing assignment help work outcomes.

Leader empowering behavior scale and the Maslach burnout inventory were employed to collect data from 407 registered nurses recruited from 11 hospitals in Jordan. The Jordanian nurses exhibited a high level of burnout as demonstrated by high scores of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization and moderate scores of personal accomplishment. Factors related to work condition ,nurses demographic traits were significantly correlated with burnout categories. 

The shortage of healthcare providers is a major concern worldwide. 2006 world health organization reports shows that there is shortage of  healthcare workers particularly nurses and how it will interfere with national and international effort to enhance the health and well being of the global population. Healthcare sector in Jordan has massive increase in demand of healthcare services with ineffective supply of resources as a result of Syrian crisis.

This has strengthened nurses feeling of dissatisfaction and burnout. Many studies have shown the negative impact of burnout on individual. Burnout lower nurses quality of life, performance level and organizational commitment increase their intention to leave the job. Burnout increases turnover rates and negatively affect the quality of nursing care. Organizational characteristics and leader behaviors that empower nurses to use their knowledge. Structural empowerment is found to be important for both nurses, job satisfaction and quality of patient care as mediated by professional practice environment and characteristcis.

In addition to both structural and psychological empowerment were found to be important for decreasing burnout and subsequently increasing intent to stay. Burnout is a common psychological phenomenon among nurses. It is characterized by decline in physical, emotional and psychological energy which is caused from the work stress that leads to cynicism towards clients and colleagues and feeling of low self efficacy. Burnout may arise due to work overload, lack of resources control and justice, value conflicts and the absence of the sense of community.

Burnout includes three aspects

Emotional Exhaustion:-The state of being physically and emotionally exhausted by work stress which is characterized by low energy ,fatigue, depression ,hopelessness and helplessness.

Depersonalization:-The interpersonal aspect of burnout that manifest in unfeeling, negative behavior towards other and detachment from caring and instruction.

Low personal Accomplishment:-The state of negatively evaluating ones, self as being incompetent, unsuccessful and inadequate, consequently, employee exhibit low level of contribution to their work.

Burnout is problematic for both organizations as well as employees because manifestation of burnout including reduction is physical and psychological energy such as insomnia ,fatigue, depression lead to an increase in absenteeism and turnover rates and consequently have negative effect on the quality of care, thus nurse burnout have been studied widely. Abundant studies have examined the influence of different variables on burnout as part of effort as directed as reducing the phenomenon. Maslach theories that burnout in a state which occur as a result of prolonged mismatch between a person and atleast one of the following six dimensions of  work

Workload:-excessive workload and demands so that recovery can not be achieved.

Control:-employees do not have sufficient control over the resources needed to complete or accomplish their job.

Reward:-lack of adequate reward for the job done. Rewards can be financial, social or intrinsic 

Community:-employees do not perceive a sense of positive connections with their colleagues and managers leading to frustration and reducing the likelihood of social support.

Fairness:-a person perceiving unfairness at the workplace, including inequity of workload and pay.

Values:- employees feeling constrained by their job to act against their own values and their aspiration or when they experience conflicts between organizations values

Maslach theorized these six work characteristics causing burnout and placed deterioration in employee health job performance as outcomes arising from burnout.

The job resources demand process build on the view of burnout as a work based mismatch but differs from Maslach’s model in that posit burnout develop via two separate pathways excessive job demand leading to exhaustion and insufficient job resources leading to disengagement. Along with Maslach Schaufeli this model sees burnout as the negative pole of a continuum of employees well being.
