Don’t Skip Breakfast

You are vigilant to make sure you feed your lil one day and night and give the baby exact nutrition required, but what about you? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it sets the tone for your entire day. Also, what you eat will affect the health of the baby.

Eat Healthy and Right

You are feeding the baby every few hours. So you should be given a healthy diet which is rich in nutrients. This promotes its healing and also keeps the baby fit. You should also take care of your cleanliness and environment. If you fall ill, the infection will eventually take hold of the baby. Nobody wants that!

Stay Hydrated

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to avoid dehydration. Mild dehydration can affect your body before you even know you’re thirsty, and you may have a headache, fatigue, or lack of energy.

Good Nutrition

A new mom should have a balanced diet of five to seven servings of whole grains, pasta, rice or cereal, two servings of fruits and vegetables and two to three servings of meat and low-fat dairy to ensure she has enough protein. Iron and calcium. These are important nutrients, especially for postpartum and lactating mothers. Breastfeeding women need an additional 500 calories in addition to their daily 1,800 to 2,000 calories.

Visit the doctor regularly

Many physical changes and problems take place after delivery. Breast problems, uterine pain, vaginal discharge are some of the common health problems that come during the postpartum period. They slow down the healing process for a new mother. So it is important to address these things in a timely manner in front of the doctor.

Make the most of your nap

Taking your baby to nap is an accomplishment—make the most of it! Get a DVD or go online to do a 30-minute workout, head to the kitchen and prepare healthy snacks and meals, take a long, steamy shower, or, if you feel the stretch of the pillow, something nice. Lie down – worthy of rest.

Mental state

New moms should try to rest as much as possible and ask friends or relatives for help if they find things too stressful. Because of hormonal changes after birth, she may experience the “baby blues” two to four days after the birth of her baby. It is normal to feel emotional, or to shed tears for no apparent reason or for reasons that seem insignificant to others. She may become anxious, guilty, depressed, and even afraid that she may not cope with her newborn, but usually recovers within a few days.

Boost your Immune System

The last thing a new mom wants is to come down with a cold or other bug. Then, eat lots of lean protein, dark green, and antioxidant-rich foods like berries and apples to boost immunity. Staying well hydrated will also flush out toxins from your system and set you on a healthy path.

Exercise

Don’t let your workouts push you. Schedule your exercise just as you would an important work meeting or parent-teacher conference. Try to schedule your exercise at the same time every day, either first thing in the morning or in the evening when you have the most time.

Take time for yourself

Taking time to yourself is important for your emotional well-being. Take a hot shower in the evening, take an hour or two to read a good book, watch a movie in the middle of the day, or get your nails done. Whatever you do, make sure you do it right and you set your priorities. Make a list of things you miss doing, or things that make you feel good, and follow the list.

If you stay healthy, your baby will be healthy and nothing else is important. If you are a new mom, or you know someone, make sure you take care of yourself and pamper the one you know with gifts and blessings. Celebrate motherhood because it is the most beautiful thing one can experience.
