What’s Up with Samsung One UI 8 and When Can You Get It?
Samsung has finally confirmed that the stable rollout of One UI 8—its Android 16-based software—will begin in September 2025. The lucky first adopters will be owners of the Galaxy S25 series, with the update rolling out to other supported devices in due course.
Already Live on Foldables
Samsung kicked things off by pre-installing One UI 8 on the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, both unveiled during the summer. These devices come out of the box with Android 16 and a host of AI-powered features.
Beta Wave Expanding to More Models
The journey began with beta testing available in May 2025 on the Galaxy S25 range in select countries. Since then, Samsung has expanded the beta program to include devices like the S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, with eligibility now confirmed for many others—from the S23 series to popular A-series models and Galaxy Tabs.
